Is the earth going off balance.?

With the growth of our world population and the large cities in the northern hemisphere. Is this making the world out of balance like a top. stick something to the side of a top when you spin it and it will go out of balance very quickly. I have notice that the south of the equator the glaciers are growing however the northern part of the world they are melting. What do you think is this possible.
